Born in New York, raised in New Jersey, at various times resident in New Orleans, western Montana, the San Francisco Bay Area, upstate New York, and now, Evanston, Illinois. A more complete bio can be found at the Poetry Foundation.

I write poetry, essays, and fiction, and teach English at Lake Forest College. In my spare time I play D&D and box a little bit.
